Kate joined R&H Jersey in 2009 and has used her UK tax knowledge to advise Trustees and beneficiaries in respect of any UK tax implications impacting on their offshore trust structures. Kate also assists in dealing with the UK compliance aspects of Trusts including income tax returns, capital gains tax calculations, and offshore tax-avoidance regulation compliance. Jersey tax compliance and planning are also part of Kate’s role in the tax department.

She began her career in personal tax in 1998 in a private accountancy practice and qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2002 whilst working as a Personal Tax Manager providing UK private client advice. With her tax background Kate has continued advising personal tax clients of the UK tax compliance requirements in a variety of circumstances, for both UK and Jersey resident taxpayers.

Kate qualified as a member of STEP in 2007 and draws on this knowledge to assist with overall tax planning for offshore structures.
